STUDENT MENTOR:  Impact the lives of children in a real and tangible way by volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita.  You can serve at the Newhall or Canyon Country campus as a homework helper / student mentor.  The commitment is once per week, for two hours, for a minimum of 16 weeks starting September 1st.  (Ideally, it would be at least one school year.)  No special skills required, except a willingness to connect with and help kids in a positive environment.  Training will be provided.  Coaches for basketball and flag football, as well those willing to do enrichment workshops for 6 or 8 weeks in the arts or music, are always needed.

BE AN ALLY, mentoring foster youth with a goal toward independence and post-secondary education.  Allys are required to meet with their assigned foster youth once per month in person, with other communication throughout the month.  Transportation to food banks and other services also needed.  How you can help our foster youth toward independence?  Join our efforts with the Foster Youth Initiative today!
